Online tuition, private or group: Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English (GCSE)

Grades follow understanding.

One-to-one and small-group online tutoring from an Imperial College London engineering student. I teach the concept first, so the technique still holds up under exam pressure.

New for this year

Private tutoring, and now small groups too.

Alongside one-to-one lessons, I'm now running group tutoring in small groups too. Same teaching, lower cost per student; a good option for friends or classmates studying the same subject, and for students who enjoy learning alongside others.

Why tutoring matters

The evidence behind one-to-one support.

It's not just a nice idea; sustained, personalised tutoring has a well-documented effect on grades and confidence.

3 in 4 Students improve

A 2024 study of over 2,600 students and parents across Europe and the UK found that three in four students improved by up to three grades with sustained, personalised one-to-one tutoring.

80% Especially in Maths

The same study found 80% of students who had a year of consistent Maths tutoring moved up by as much as three grades, one of the largest gains of any subject.

22 studies Backed by wider research

A meta-analysis spanning over 6,750 students across 22 studies found a moderate to large improvement effect from tutoring, and the UK Department for Education's own review found a clear positive impact on both achievement and confidence.
